Work Experience

2005-2018 Kansai Plascon The combination of 13 years at Plascon and 25 years of experience in the field of colour and décor has allowed me the perfect canvas to use my creativity as well as gain a thorough understanding of the Paint Industry & Décor Industry.

In 2005 I joined the Plascon Brand’s Colour Marketing Department in the position of Showroom Manager. I was part of the team that opened the first ever one of a kind, state of the art paint showroom in the world. I managed the Plascon Living Concepts Showroom for 6 years and during this time the Showroom won several awards under my leadership. “Plascon Living Concepts” was awarded “The Special Star SACS Award” for best retailer of the year, best designed showroom of the year as well as service excellence.

2010 -2018 As a member of the Plascon Colour Marketing Team I was appointed Global Brand Ambassador and travelled nationwide giving Continuous Development Talks to Architects. I participated in Trends Talks in Dubai and flew to Indonesia in Jan 2019 to give Architects and leading paint retailers the latest updates on Key trends and Colours for 2020.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE 

1990’s – 2000 Fantasy Finishes I opened a specialist paint contracting business in 1989. Our main business was re purposing existing kitchens, however companies like Slavin subcontracted their high-end work to my business. I enjoyed a successful decade of work. My company was the contractor appointed to complete Decorative work for the Rosebank Mall, Gallagher Estate, Rosebank Hyatt Hotel, Standard Bank Branches nationwide to mention a few. During this period this small business worked on both commercial and residential projects one of my most memorable being in East Africa for the Neptune Hotel Group.
